A Community That Cares
The Welcome House Foundation exists to restore stability, dignity, and hope to individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity. We provide safe housing and progressive life-skills support to people navigating life’s most difficult transitions—youth aging out of foster care, pregnant women and single mothers, individuals in recovery, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness.
We believe housing is more than shelter—it is the foundation for healing, growth, and independence. Through community partnerships, structured support, and compassionate care, we help our residents move from survival to stability and ultimately to self-sufficiency.
Everyone deserves a welcome.
A Housing Crisis We Can’t Ignore: Supporting Lives Through Housing
A Growing Crisis in Metro Atlanta
Homelessness and housing displacement are rising across Metro Atlanta, affecting thousands of individuals and families each year. On any given night, nearly 3,000 people experience homelessness in the region, with many more living one crisis away from losing stable housing.
This crisis disproportionately impacts veterans, youth aging out of foster care, single mothers, and individuals in recovery from substance use. Veterans who served our country often struggle to secure affordable housing. Young adults leaving foster care face a high risk of homelessness due to limited support systems. Single mothers and families are increasingly displaced by rising housing costs, while those in recovery often lack safe, stable environments necessary to rebuild their lives.
Homelessness is not just a housing issue — it is a cycle fueled by instability, lack of resources, and limited access to supportive services. At The Welcome House Foundation, we address this crisis with dignity-centered, housing-first solutions that provide stability, life skills, and pathways to long-term independence.
